Thermocouple protection tube is used with two-section thermocouple / thermal resistance and bimetal thermometer to protect the normal operation of thermocouple / thermal resistance and bimetal thermometer. And can be used in high pressure and high flow rate occasions. It is mainly used for the protection of precious metals in steel, smelting, glass, electricity, chemicals, cement, and various high-temperature furnace temperature measuring instruments.
Thermocouple protection tube can be divided into three types according to its material:
Metal: High mechanical strength, good thermal conductivity, and widely used.
Non-metal: It is mostly used for temperature measurement above 1000 ℃. It has good heat resistance, poor shock resistance and poor thermal conductivity.
Ceramics: Due to the high mechanical strength of metallic materials, they are not resistant to high temperatures; non-metallic materials are resistant to high temperatures, but their mechanical strength is low. The metal-ceramic protective tube is made by powder metallurgy, which has high temperature resistance and good mechanical strength, and has good application prospects. It can be widely used in harsh environments such as molten steel, molten iron, and high-temperature salt bath furnaces.
