The electric ball valve is mainly composed of two parts: the electric actuator and the ball valve. The electric actuator is responsible for receiving the control signal and driving the motor to rotate, while the ball valve part includes components such as the valve body, ball, valve seat and valve stem. The valve body is the outer shell of the ball valve, and there is a channel inside for fluid flow; the ball is the opening and closing part of the valve, which can be connected, cut off or regulated by rotating 90 degrees; the valve seat serves as a sealing gasket for the ball to ensure that the fluid will not leak in the closed state.
The working principle of the electric ball valve is to receive the control signal through the electric actuator, drive the motor to rotate, and then rotate the ball around the valve stem axis through the transmission mechanism (such as gear worm gear). When the ball rotates to align with the channel, the fluid can pass smoothly; when the ball rotates to be perpendicular to the channel, the fluid flow is blocked, thereby achieving precise control of the fluid medium.
There are many types of electric ball valves. According to different connection methods, they can be divided into electric flange ball valves, electric wafer ball valves, electric welding ball valves and electric threaded ball valves, etc.; according to different sealing forms, they can be divided into soft-sealed electric ball valves and metal-sealed electric ball valves. In addition, there are many types such as floating ball valves, trunnion ball valves, V-port ball valves, and three-way ball valves.
